World Music Festival

Last Thursday, September 25, I went to the Cultural Center with Gitte and some classmates for the World Music Festival.

We walked there after having dinner together. I can already hear the music when we were outside and feel the happy atmosphere as soon as we entered the lobby. There were large number of people at the first floor for the Mexican music band. We stood at the back and took some pictures. Since we had no seat we did not stay long. We moved to the 2nd floor then. It was like an exhibition&market of Mexican food, jewelry, bags and other decorations. They are all very nice and have unique cultural characteristics. Jennifer said she liked the candies so much and I was attracted by the colorful plants. Walking through a gallery, we got to a gorgeous hall where a Tunisia concert is on live. We seated ourselves and looked at the stage. I found a yellow-skined guy undertaking the drums and the other, itwas a white man, playing a strange instrument seemed like a gitta. I like this style I thought. Soon, there came another fat gentleman with an similar instrument in hand. He sat next to the microphone so i guessed he was going to sing something. Finally, a fat powerful long voice appeared, and I was like drunk. I really love this!

After the Tunisia, we went downstairs again. This time the former band was gone, and a next band was preparing. So there were few people on the seat. We found a table and sat around

to have a break, and waited the next concert by the way. The last band we saw was also a Mexican one. The music was about happy and sorrow at the same time. Audience were all enjoyed themselves that some even stood to dance and sing together.

It was a wonderful night! And what's more exciting is all these are free. Maybe I would put an eye on such activities next time it happens.
